In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

5 reasons to book
  • Prime location in Parque das Nações — A 10-minute walk to Vasco da Gama Shopping Center and 5–10 minutes from Oriente station, with many restaurants and bars on the same street.
  • Vibrant, artsy design — Rooms are spacious and modern with colorful décor that guests repeatedly mention as a standout feature.
  • Private on-site parking — A dedicated garage (levels -2 and -3) for €6 per day, noted as valuable in an area without free parking.
  • Strong breakfast and dining variety — Guests praise the breakfast selection, including vegan options, and the on-site restaurant offers a la carte lunches and dinners.
  • Practical in-room comforts — Air conditioning, soundproofed rooms, mini-bar, safe, and flat-screen TVs in every room, with daily housekeeping.

Worth weighing

5 to weigh
  • Rooms and cleanliness score lower — With a category rating of 6, some guests may find the room condition or cleanliness below expectations for a 4-star property.
  • Restaurant dinner can disappoint — While breakfast is praised, one detailed review described a poor-quality meat dish and brusque service during dinner.
  • Breakfast is paid and pricey — One guest found the breakfast expensive compared to nearby bars, and chose to eat out instead.
  • Light sleepers may be disturbed — Thin double curtains let in significant morning light from around 7am, making it hard to sleep without an eye mask.
  • No pets allowed — The hotel does not accept pets, which may be a drawback for travellers with animals.

“The vivid, artistic decor was everywhere – our double room felt huge and had a fantastic view of the city lights at night. Breakfast was a real highlight, with so many tasty options each morning.”

“Great breakfast with plenty of variety, and service was quick. Perfect base for getting around by metro. The area is very quiet, and it's close to the shopping center and station.”

“Fantastic location, just a short walk from the Altice Arena. Staff were super helpful, and we appreciated the complimentary water in the room. Lots of nearby restaurants and things to do.”

“The bathroom was clean and had everything we needed – shower products, soap, fresh towels daily, and a hairdryer – though we'd have preferred a walk-in shower to the bath. The room was comfortable with a spacious wardrobe, flat-screen TV with plenty of channels (mostly Portuguese), a mini-bar, and a safe. The only downside was the thin double curtains, which let in a lot of light from 7am, making it hard to sleep without a mask. The bed was wide and comfortable. We skipped the paid breakfast and ate at nearby bars instead. One evening we tried the hotel restaurant – that was a mistake. The meat dish was a fatty, low-quality rib, though the sauce and potatoes were good. The waiter came across as abrupt and even blamed us for an ordering mix-up. That said, we'd happily stay here again because the location is excellent: right by the Park of Nations, 5–10 minutes from Oriente station and the Vasco da Gama shopping center, with plenty of eateries on the same street. On-site parking costs €6 per day, which is worth it since there's no free parking nearby.”

The bottom line

A reliable, well-located 4-star for travellers who want easy access to Parque das Nações and Oriente station, with vibrant rooms and the convenience of on-site parking. Just don't expect the dining or room polish to exceed the hotel's modest category scores.
